The shop is in the block of South Clinton between Iowa Avenue and Washington Street. The number is on the door. The front glass faces west, across the street, toward the Pentacrest.

The Pentacrest is the University of Iowa block bounded by Clinton, Washington, Madison, and Jefferson, with the Old Capitol in the middle. Iowa Avenue runs through it. South Clinton’s low numbers begin on the south side of Iowa Avenue. Number 24 is on the commercial side, the east side, before you reach Washington.

On foot

From the Old Capitol, come to the Clinton Street side, cross to the east sidewalk, and walk south. The door is number 24, still north of Washington.

From the Old Capitol Town Center, which sits in the 200 block of South Clinton, walk north. Cross Washington and stay on the east sidewalk. We are in the low numbers, not in the Town Center.

The shop is one room and the press room behind it. There is no second floor and no freight elevator. The door is at sidewalk level. A ream of 90 gsm letter fits through in two hands. There is no separate entrance off the alley.

Parking, bus, bicycle

Meters on Clinton belong to the city. Read the plate for the hours and the rate. We do not validate parking, and we do not hold a curb space. City ramps nearby, including the one at the Town Center south of us, post their own rates. Those rates are not ours to quote.

Iowa City Transit uses Clinton. The sign at the stop has the line and the time. We do not reprint a schedule we do not control.

There is no private bicycle rack for the shop. Use a city rack on the block. Bring the bicycle up only if it is in your hands and the counter is clear; a wet tire does not belong next to an open quire.
